About Our Company
From the Gutenberg Press to the late 20th Century, there were only three major shifts in mass communication. Gutenberg gave us the printed word, a man named Reginald Fessenden gave us radio, and Philo Farnsworth introduced us to television in 1927. These innovations, however, seem to have only set the pattern that the Internet would begin to replicate in 1983.
At the onset, the Internet was used mainly to share documents containing text or images – a virtual publisher. Advancements in technology brought us online music and a virtual “radio” was born. Today, the Internet and its capacities continue to grow, providing us with not only improved print and audio capabilities, but also broadcast level video capability with the emergence and wide acceptance of broadband technology.
The Internet has become a ubiquitous resource for searching, with over 80% of its users looking for answers to a specific question. At issue however are the results of those searches. Whether it’s too much information, or questionable content, is it possible that the Internet has become as potentially dangerous as it is helpful? Where can a 20-45 year old person go to find reliable, safe, values-based answers to their questions without the risk of finding pop culture, pornography, predators, and propaganda lurking around every virtual corner?
It is our vision to provide our values based audience with the answers they need from experts they can trust, all in the video format that they prefer. Whether looking for answers to a spiritual question, trying to figure out how to get a child to sleep through the night, or looking for insight on an issue within a marriage, visitors will find trusted advice, safe community, and valuable resources in a variety of formats. Imagine providing peace to a person locked in a battle with cancer, or hope to a parent that just found out that their child will have Downs Syndrome. Imagine a person knowing that they need not go another day alone. Imagine that person finding community, resources, guidance, and the answers they long for in a safe, supportive environment. You have just envisioned a place we call "iQuestions.com", where safety meets the centralization of discovery.
