Operation M.O.R.E (Monies for Obesity Research and Education)
The American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Foundation (ASMBS Foundation) and Unity Medical are teaming up in the fight against obesity.
Operation M.O.R.E is a fundraising campaign of the ASMBS Foundation. As of the first quarter 2011, the Foundation has given a total of $1,115,000 in support of programs and projects such as 21 fully funded research grants, the Nutrition Guidelines Project, the online CME program, and the Walk from Obesity Cookbook.
Unity Medical has a goal to donate up to $150,000 to the ASMBS Foundation for continuing education to fight the disease of Obesity. Until August 31st, 2011 Unity will donate a portion of the proceeds from each sale of Unity Medical’s Bariatric and Metabolic Provider video library to the ASMBS Foundation for ongoing education and awareness.
The Bariatric & Metabolic video library is specifically designed to provide individualized clinical information, in a high quality and engagingvideo format. This methodology raises the standard, improves patient satisfaction, and ultimately assists with behavioral change.
