Fresno Heart & Surgical Hospital, a facility of Community Medical Centers and Unity Medical, an award-winning developer of digital healthcare technology announced an agreement for Fresno Heart & Surgical Hospital to offer Unity Medical’s Bariatric & Metabolic Weight Loss and Heart & Vascular Provider Video Libraries. Each video library delivers an interactive and highly personalized experience on a first-of-its-kind engagement platform called the jLog™ or Journey Log. The jLog™ is a web-based enterprise application that unifies Web 2.0 capabilities such as audio, short-form HD video, text, and the ability to integrate social commenting.

Each short form video journey is specifically designed to set patient expectations and reduce anxiety by providing education about common procedures or treatments extending from-pre-to-post care. Specific video topics include patient-centered details such as where to park on the hospital campus, day-of-surgery processes, and post-procedural information. Unity’s suite of specialty video includes content for Bariatric & Metabolic Weight Loss surgery, Heart & Vascular procedures and Cancer Care.
